Finding Your Song & Ordering
Explanation of Format:
When you click for more information on a particular song you will find a 'Format' section which explains the layout of the
song. (eg. V-C-Br-Keych-C = Verse-Chorus-Bridge-Keychange-Chorus). Here are a list of the abbreviations used:
V = Verse
C = Chorus
Br = Bridge
Keych = Keychange
Coda = Coda (an extended section often used to finish a song)
Tag = Tag (similar to Coda but usually shorter)
1/2C = Half Chorus
Intro = An extended Introduction
Inst = Instrumental section
Colla = Colla Voce (out of tempo, free rhythm where the piano follows the voice)
Explanation of Range:
When clicking for more information on a particular song, one of the details you will find is about the song's 'Range'
(eg. A-B in D). This indicates the vocal range in it's current key - this is displayed to help you decide whether the song is in a suitable key for you already, and if not, enables you to select a more suitable key.
Ordering A Song:
When you have found the song you are looking for, you will need to select the following:
Select Key - select an appropriate key you would like the music to be in (explained in more detail below) having considered the
vocal range, using the drop-down menu.
Additonal Melody Track Required? Click 'yes' if you require a recording of the melody line to rehearse to. This service
incurs a £2.50 surcharge.
Advice on Selecting Key:
Looking at the 'Range' vocal range of the arrangement in it's current key. e.g. A-B in D means the song has a vocal range
from A to B in the key of D. If this is a suitable range for you, then on the Select Key drop-down menu, select D. If however
it is NOT a suitable range, then select a different key.
Choosing an appropriate key is simple. Looking at the example above, where the current range is A-B, lets say B is too
high for you. Simply select a lower key, by working out what the top note is in your own range, and adjust the key
accordingly. So if you would like the top note to be G, then you would need to select a key of B. You can see that
you just have to count up or down the same number of notes to find the key as you have counted up or down to your suitable top
note.
Please note you MUST select a key to enable to proceed with the order. If you are unsure of the key you require, please
do not hesitate to email us for help.
Special Requests:
Here is where you may notify us of any special requests, such as the format adjusting - for instance after looking at the
format of the arrangement, you may feel you would like an additional chorus, or perhaps the song is too long, so you would
like to omit one of the sections. We will advise you if your requested changes are not appropriate to the arrangement.
Adding The Song To Your Basket:
Once you have made the necessary selections, click "Buy track" to add the song to your order. You can remove it from your basket later if you need to.
Proceeding To Purchase:

General Help
Why are refunds not offered?
Due to licensing laws, once a track is purchased we cannot offer a refund (as with any digital music purchase). You are strongly advised to check all track
information before purchasing to ensure the track is suitable. We can of course change the key should you require, within 7
days of original purchase.
Why are certain tracks only available in the original key?
This is usually in the case of tracks where to adjust the key would mean instruments playing outside of their ranges.
Why do I have to wait to download my tracks?
Some sites offer an immediate download facility, but only with tracks in set keys. As we offer the majority of our tracks in ANY key, the storage required to hold these online for immediate download would be extremely large. Therefore, we hold all tracks offline, and once any necessary changes are made to the track for the selected key, the track is then uploaded. Once this has been done (usually within 1 working day) you will be sent an email containing download instructions.
When are new tracks added to the catalogue?
New titles are added to the catalogue as they are produced.
Why do you only produce new tracks to order?
We sometimes get asked why we don't take requests to produce new titles without the customer placing a bespoke order. This is due to the fact we are constantly busy producing new tracks for customers, so there is not enough time to produce tracks that have not been specifically ordered.
Why is the waiting time so long for new tracks?
Most new tracks will only take 2 days to produce. However, because the number and size of orders in the queue changes constantly, lead-times fluctuate considerably. Because of this we do sometimes have to close the waiting list to prevent the lead-time becoming too long.
Can you send a copy of the lyrics with my backing track?
We are not licensed to distribute printed lyrics. There are many sites where you can download these, although do be wary that many of these sites are in breach of copyright laws.
If I choose to have a bespoke track produced, why is it then added to the catalogue?
The catalogue subsidises the cost to you of producing a new track. We do not produce tracks for exclusive use.
Do I have to purchase an additional licence from you if I want to perform to your backing tracks in public?
When you purchase a track from us, the price includes all licensing you require from us. All we ask is that you mention London Arrangements in any credits. However, do make sure that the venue that you are performing at has a PRS licence. If you are producing a recording you will need to contact the MCPS to find out if you need to obtain any further licence.
I would like to hear a different section of the song before making a decision to purchase. Is this possible?
Of course! We are only licensed to place a short clip of the track on the website, but if you need to hear a bit more, or a different section of a particular track, you can email to request this.
How are CDs shipped?
CDs are shipped by Royal Mail First Class, or Royal Mail Airmail (if overseas). If you require Special Delivery please contact us for additional charges.
If I order more than one track will they be produced on a single CD?
Where an order contains more than one track, all tracks will be produced to a single CD unless you request otherwise in "Special Requests" when ordering.
It's been over 24 hours since I placed my order and I still have not received the email containing download instructions.
As a first step, please check your email program's junk / spam folders to make sure emails from London Arrangements are not being filtered incorrectly. If the email instructions still cannot be found, you can log in to your account and go to "Downloads". Please note that tracks are uploaded manually so will take up to 24 hours to appear here. |
